Lake Bled's top hotels offer comfort and elegance in an idyllic setting, framed by the wooded slopes of the Julian Alps.

Ever since Arnold Rikli promoted the beneficial properties of Lake Bled in the late 19th century, people from all walks of life have flocked to this scenic health resort in the Julian Alps. Politicians, artists, celebrities and even royalty came here to enjoy the fresh mountain air and thermal waters.

Among them were King Alexander and President Tito who had their summer residence in Bled and villas and hotels soon spruced up their image to accommodate visiting diplomats and their entourage. Five Star Grand Hotel Toplice, Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Fully renovated, set on the lake shore looking out to Slovenia’s only island, the Grand Hotel Toplice is the crème de la crème with 54 rooms and 33 suites. All are individually designed and boast balconies, period furniture and lovely rugs on parquet floors. Many have lake views.

The Juliana Restaurant has a summer terrace and gourmet menu, the Grand Restaurant serves local and international fare. There are two bars and the nearby Panorama Restaurant entertains guests with live music and dancing at the week end.

The Wellness Centre includes saunas, solarium, massage and beauty parlours, with eternal youth and relaxation packages, and the celebrated colonnaded swimming pool with water piped from the hot springs.

Vila Bled, Four Star Luxury in Julian Alps Health resort

Vila Bled has retained the classic elegance of the 1950s and offers relaxation and comfort in a peaceful oasis. Rooms are furnished in warm earthy tones and have lake or park view. Top of the range is the Presidential Suite covering 100m² on the top floor.

The restaurant has earned some prestigious awards in recent years and specialises in Slovenian, French and Mediterranean gourmet cuisine, based on fresh local produce. The Belvedere Pavilion is as popular today as it was when Tito staged fabulous tea parties for his guests.

Beauty treatments, massage, Finnish and Turkish saunas complete the Vila Bled experience.

Hotel Park Bled, Luxury Accommodation in Slovenia

Hotel Park Bled claims 207 rooms, including 10 suites. Most are draped in cheerful pastel colours and all have a balcony overlooking the park or the lake.

The Rikli Restaurant is renowned for its excellent pizzas, fish and meat dishes and pasta, but the Park’s pride and joy are its famous Bled cream cakes, currently awaiting their 9th million customer .The cakes can be enjoyed in the Park Café and there’s also an aperitif and piano bar.

The 5th floor spa has views of the lake and boasts a solarium, saunas, gym, Thai massage and indoor pool with thermal spring water heated to 27ºC.

Hotel Park Bled offers special packages for cyclists and romantic and wellness weekends.
